So I just got home from my first rehearsal with Brighouse. There are several cornets out for this trip to France on the weekend so I’m playing 3rd man down in the front row.

It was a total blast! However, to say I was on my butt tonight would be a bit of an understatement. I have so many notes to learn in the next 2 days I’m not sure it is possible. I just hope my chops are up to practicing tomorrow. The whole show seems to have cornet parts that are high, f…ing fast, and long. Even the stuff I know (Sweet Georgia Brown) went by too fast for me to play. There is even lots to do/learn in the accompaniments to the tuba, euph, and trombone solos!
