We played well but were not nearly good enough.  And of course we DREW #1 FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT CONTEST AND 5 OF THE LAST 6!!!!!  Amazing!  The band was crunching the numbers on the coach on the way home (after many pints) and it really does look like we are relegated to the 2nd Section.

Back to work on Wednesday and I’m actually conducting.  Could be quite interesting.  I’m hoping the band won’t be too demoralized, as life must indeed go on.

I’m also looking forward to hearing the Championship Section tomorrow evening.  I have my ticket and a score, and it should be a great few hours of listening to English Heritage.
