I’ll post more of my lesson with Roger but it was great. His playing was stunning and he had some very specific and amazingly helpful technical advice for my playing.
Roger has a Ph.D. in Psychology and while he understands all aspects of the the mental aspects of brass playing, he has simplified them down into 2 issues that have been a great help to me just in the last 2-weeks. Here is what he said: “When thinking about performing on a brass instrument there are 2 things that are most important and will take care of almost every performance problem anyone ever encounters. They are: 1-Breathing and 2-Concentration. Get these two things under control and almost everything else takes care of itself”.
Cheers,

Yeah, Roger is an amazing player!
